2012 London Marathon

After 4 unsuccessful applications to run the London Marathon I finally managed to get through in the ballot for a place in this year’s event. Unfortunately I am not as fit as I was when I first entered so I am not expecting a fantastic time I just want to get around the course. I am running for Dorothy House a local hospice in Bradford on Avon and War On Want, a small UK based development charity. EriK Refner did a great series of portraits of runners at the end of the Copenhagen Marathon who are completely exhausted to get some idea of how I will look in April.

12 month continual exposure

This picture took a full year to expose and was taken with nothing more than a coffee tin. The stripes in the sky is the sun as it travels through the sky at different times of the year.

Practice your low light photography at the Holborne Museum

I finally managed to go along to the Holborne Museum to see the Field of Light installation, well worth a visit but if you want to take pictures carry a tripod (which I didn’t). The fence posts around the site make OK ‘make shift’ supports.
