Landscape and Architecture session tonight

It looks like the weather will hold for tonight’s session (bring a coat anyway). We will be looking at landscape and architectural photography around the campus. For inspiration you could look at Andreas Gursky and Bernd and Hilla Becher for archtectual images. You could also look at Fay Godwin, for classic black and white vistas with a political twist and Simon Norfolk’s images of battle fields for a documentary twist.

While we wont have time to do this in the session some of you might be interested in creating extreme wide angle images or panoramics. There are some great examples of stitched panoramic and architectural images on Hugh Gilbert’s site. The video below shows how it is done.
